We are not born with courage, but neither are we born with fear, LOVE is our true nature. So where does our fears come from you might ask? Perhaps some of our fears are brought on by our own experiences, by what someone has told us, by what you’ve read in the papers. Maybe some fears are valid, like walking alone in a dangerous part of town at two o’clock in the morning. But once you learn to avoid that situation, you won’t need to live in fear of it. Do you?
Fears even the most basic ones can totally immobilize our ambitions. Fear can limit fortunes and it can ruin relationships. If left unchecked it can paralyze our very lives. Fear is one of the many energy blocks lurking inside us. I want to highlight that one should not make their fears completely wrong but use them to propel forward!
I want to share with you 5 other energy blocks that we face from within. The first block that you’ve got to overcome before it overcomes you is indifference. What a tragic dis-ease this is? The “let it slide” mentality or I’ll just drift along. Here’s one problem with drifting: YOU CAN”T drift your way to the top of the mountain.
The second block we face is indecision. Indecision is the thief of opportunity and transformation. It will rob your chances for a better future. Definitely you want to overcome this state of mind. You want to defeat this behavioral pattern by implementing practices that swiftly change the antics. For example: let your yes be yes and your no’s be no.
The third block is doubt. Absolutely there is room for healthy skepticism; you can’t believe everything you hear. But you also can’t let doubt take over! Many people doubt the past, doubt the future, doubt each other, doubt the government, doubt the possibilities and doubt the opportunities. WORST OFALL THEY DOUBT THEMSELVES. I’m telling you, doubt will limit your life and your chances of success. It will empty both your bank account and your heart. Doubt is one that you want to release; don’t allow it to rule you. Replace this block with trust and certainty and put it under control.
The fourth block is worry. We have all got to worry some time. Just don’t let it conquer you or keep you stagnant. Instead let it alarm you into movement or action. Worry can be a useful tool. If you step off the curb in New York City and a taxi is coming, you’ve got to worry. But you can’t let worry loose in the mind like a pit-bull that drives you into a small corner. Here’s what you’ve got to do with your worries: look them in the eye and tell yourself the truth. Separate the facts from the fiction. Do not get caught in a space of resistance as whatever you resist will persist in your experiences. Tell the truth and do what is necessary to get beyond the drama into YOUR freedom.
The fifth block is over-caution. This is the timid approach to life. Timidity is not some virtue or badge of honor (well not if you know who you really are); it’s an illusion that keeps you stuck in smallness or mediocrity. If you allow along yourself to linger in this state, you will find yourself struggling upstream. Timid people often get overlooked for promotions. They more often take longer to advance and grow and become powerful in their life. If you are on the path of being your best self it will take some courage to express this.
Build your courage bank to release what’s holding you back, what’s keeping you from your goals and dreams. Be courageous in your life and in your pursuit of the things you want and the person you want to become. As my business partner Shakira would say, you have to drill down to see what fear might be in the way of you not looking at self. Unconcealed fear can be powerful in one attaining their goals and vision. Once you unconceal the fear, forgive yourself and see what lesson it has taught you for your soul growth.
