Spiritual teacher Charles Fillmore had much to say about forgiveness.

He believed that any blockage in the life structures that we might experiences is probably because there is some place where we have not released, let go and let God – FORGIVE.

He outlined a mental treatment that he encourages should be read each day in order for it to be effective. Here it is for you to use during your sacred time –

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive.” ~ Howard Thurman

You are here for a reason! Your soul is eternally calling you in the direction of your highest path. The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. When you find your gift, you would have found what lights you up. And when you find what lights you up, your calling is to give it away.

We follow our calling by following what lights us up. Your light is contagious. Your inner light is craving to be shared by those around you, by the world at large – but mostly by you. When you share your unique light bit by bit, you light up lives around you. And one by one, you inspire them to light up too. It’s a chain reaction. And before long the whole world lights up. Your light is contagious.

Because times are changing and families everywhere are seeking new and different ways of holding unto the traditions that are so very important to them. When you christen your child you are making a public statement that you have made the conscious decision to raise your child according to spiritual principles. You are declaring the truth that you are a  teacher. In the society today it is important that we continue to make a safe and open space for our children to express and grow into their full potential.

Unless you parent in the total spirit of Love, it doesn’t matter what laws you think you are teaching—they will just become lifeless rules that your child will discard, as soon as there is no longer an authoritative finger around. Get the tools necessary by attending one of our pre-christening sessions to deepen your awareness of how important this right of passage is.

“H.I.P. people know that each moment is the opportunity they’ve been waiting for.
Be H.I.P. Wait no more. This is it!” ~ Coach T

My grandmother taught us the tale “milking the cow.” This term can be used literally and figuratively. For her growing up and being told to milk the cow could just simple be go outside and physically get milk from the cow.

By the time I came along mama was no longer in the countryside of the island and although I knew what cows looked like we didn’t have cows in the backyard. Times had changed significantly and with a large family to feed “milking the cow” became squeezing the last drop out of every dollar. We had to learn how to pinch the penny, squandering wasn’t allowed and only the real special occasion allowed individual treats. Yes! Pinching the dollar or stretching the money by getting only items that could feed many versus just one was the norm in our household.

Light is the form of energy that makes its possible to see things. The highest and best understanding we can apprehend is clear knowledge of God that unfolds from within the innermost level of our being.

Our relationships offer us the greatest opportunities to gain a clear knowledge of God, because they provide us feedback on where we are not seeing the Divine – in ourselves. We all have blind spots – so others provide us a mirror – reflecting to us how much of the Divine we actually understand and embrace of ourselves.

Criticizing is easy. Doing something constructive takes courage.

I was watching Super Soul Sunday recently and heard Dr. Brene Brown talk about the concept of being in the ring ( the arena). She explained the courage and tenacity it takes to stand up and have a voice with a face – simply to stand in the ring. Without this she exclaimed “you don’t get a say”.

Here was another ah ah moment for me. Not only do I need to step up my game by getting in the arena for my life but I can also practice to not criticize other people’s arena. Those around you should be free to design and make their own life – to live out their dharma.

It is truly amazing to step back and look at how busy our lives have become.

Sometimes the more I try to clear the plate so to speak is the more things get added on – it like magic (smiling). There is that constant need to be engaged and entertained to keep the caffeine pot brewing for fear that sleep will cause you to miss out on something.

As you probably notice the successful companies of our time are those that are technologically advance. They are getting the attention of consumers in “real-time”. Apps for smart phones are coming on the scene at a rapid pace, all the appliances in our homes are being synced. People are generally becoming more and more anxious about being on the cutting edge and not being left behind.

I had someone ask me why

God never seemed to answer his prayer – I replied – “it’s not that God never answers your prayer, it’s that you never become still and silent long enough to hear God.” Silence is the key to being able to hear the voice of God. Silence is not just the cessation of noise in the outer,it is a state of being. Entering into a state of silence is tapping into a realm of consciousness for the purpose of putting us in touch with Divine Mind so that the soul may listen to the still small voice. We all want to hear this voice as it ultimately guides our path to greater living.
