Big idea: your days are your life in miniature.

As you live your hours, so you create your years. As you live your days so you shape your life. What you do today is actually creating your future. The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the food you eat and the actions you take or do not take are defining your destiny – shaping who you are becoming and what your life will stand for. Small choices lead to giant consequences over time. There’s no such thing as an unimportant day or choices.

Being able to transform

Our fears takes awareness, commitment, courage and practice. For most of us, it’s not easy. But as we become better at doing so, our ability to be free, authentic and express our big dream increases dramatically.

Many times what we learn about love is counterfeit. It is love masquerading as getting our emotional and other needs met and meeting those of others, a reward offered for satisfying our heart’s desires. The first thing to remember is that only through having a deep inner awareness of being love itself are we able to see the distinction between love as a noun and love as a verb, to being itself without a subject or object upon which it is placed or directed.

Without this distinction one can become addicted to what they think is love, but it’s really love masquerading as getting our emotional and other needs met. Many people are addicted to love but real love is not addiction nor is addiction love. Love addiction is unhealthy attachment to people, euphoria, romance or sex in an attempt to get needs met. Or when we unconsciously look to others to fix our fear, pain and discomfort and tolerate or inflict abusive behaviors in the process.

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.

Being who we really are, expressing ourselves honestly, being bold and going for what we want in life can cause a great deal of fear in us. Many of us run away or hide from our fears because they seem scary, uncomfortable or embarrassing. However, most things that will help us to grow in life doesn’t show up without any fear at all.

As we strive to live with authenticity, it’s inevitable that we will encounter quite a bit of fear along our path. Most of us erroneously think that as we evolve in life our goal should be to get rid of fear. Unfortunately, completely ridding ourselves of fear isn’t possible or even desirable. Fear is an essential part of growth and can be used in a positive way for authenticity and fulfillment – if we are willing to deal with it in a direct, honest and conscious way.

This is how most people stop themselves.

They tell themselves things like, I don’t believe it would work, I don’t have enough desire for it. I don’t have enough passion. I don’t trust yet. I guess I have to be more of a believer before I start doing this. And so they are all hung up on these very deep emotional ideas.

Darkly sentimental deficits are soon showing up as waves. Not believing in yourself, not believing in a process, not trusting this, wishing for that, hoping, seeking confidence… all the fearful, Gothic and romantic concepts that we allow to stop us.

H.I.P. people know that if you cannot find peace within, you will never find peace without. Be H.I.P. find peace within & let it out.

Living an inside out life takes practice. It’s not always easy to get up each day in the middle of appearances that are troubling, worrisome and debilitating and have a smile on your face. In our humanity there are emotions and changes that place us more in an ebb than the flow of life. People around us and situations we find ourselves in sometimes are calling upon us to do and be what we are not called to do and be. In other words there are circumstances that maybe keeping us stuck and out of alignment with our souls calling. The souls calling is always asking us to show up in our lives and to be a beneficial presence in the world.

In our divinity we understand that people and situations are here to guide us along the path. We understand that within the troubles and worries are gifts that when discovered will bless us in ways we never thought possible. We understand that the only way to take 100 percent responsibility for the way our life is showing up requires that we go within ourselves to discover our inner world. The truth is the outer world is acting like a mirror, reflecting back to us what is happening inside us. What are our beliefs, state of peace, forgiveness and love? Where are we in our personal development and growth? The key is to know that we can ultimately use our outer world to support our practice of going within. You want to practice going within as this is the place of creation. Inside you is cause and your outer world are merely effects.

The more we practice going within and making our adjustments from the inside will be the degree to which we will experience lasting, more pleasing changes in our life, world and affairs. If we cannot find a pleasing state within ourselves we will never find it without. It we cannot find a state of peace within we will never find peace without. We must begin at once to call forth the quality of peace from within us and we must use this practice to speak to the upheavals in your life. Begin at once to see immediate results in your life. Find peace within and let it out as you go about living your life from the inside out.

The secret of peace is open to the crack between the past and the future and live in the moment we are in. ~ Coach T

How many times have you heard, ‘your thoughts create your life?”  The thoughts we focus on the most are the ones that influence our emotional states, our behaviors, actions and the results in our lives. Some thoughts are empowering and support us in creating productive, magical and fulfilling lives. Other thoughts are debilitating, creating stress and suffering, while stifling our growth, happiness and progress. Some thoughts are based in reality, other thoughts are made up in the mind and not true.

Can you identify with this quote from Mark Twain – ‘I spent half my life worrying about things that never happened.’ How many of us spend our time regretting the past or worrying about the future when the present moment just slips by with a kind of subtle or not so subtle indifference?  Why do so many of us live in fear and worry when there is a better way? What is a better way?

Next time you find yourself regretting the past or worrying about the future remember this – you can’t change the past or force the next moment to come sooner, so don’t worry about it right now. Go out and do something for yourself instead. Imagine this as the last opportunity you will have to do what you are doing. Savor the present moment. The next time you have to wait in line, use this free time as an opportunity to take notice of the world. This is a path to peace. Remember, how we spend our days in how we spend our lives.

As we pondered these questions it was revealed to me that I can be generous in how I give without being generous in how I live.

Conversely, it was revealed that a person who lives generously always gives generously. In other words, when we give generously, we can pick and choose when and how and to whom to give. We may be willing to be extremely generous in giving what we want to give where we want to give it. But with what we don’t want to give we can actually find ourselves being just as selfish and tight-fisted as the infamous Ebenezer Scrooge.

Living generously, not giving generously need to be our goal this way we won’t be like many who give generously during Christmas, but don’t live generously throughout the rest of the year. There are three characteristic of people who are living generously – which leads to greatness.

H.I.P. people are grateful that things will work themselves out, so they enjoy life’s processes now. Be H.I.P. Enjoy your life in the moment now.

Enjoying life’s processes is easier said than done. For most people this can be very challenging as they get caught up in the activities of life. Some circumstances and situation which are even emotionally charged can be quite difficult to release and ultimately trust that they will work out. Recently I was listening to Eckhart Tolle (one of my morning routines) and he reminded me about the “it” in our minds that causes us to be stuck in position. The “it” he spoke of was fear. He continued to explain that until we release the fear we will not be able to see the possibilities and deal with the facts of the situation.

This for me was a personal reminder as I could attest to the feeling of “stuckness” particularly in the financial life structure area. Usually until I can gain the momentum of gratitude to move forward, any out of the norm bills etc. can trigger different emotions. My financial mentor takes me through these releasing exercises that are just so phenomenal because usually the triggers are attached to some shadow belief that I accepted along my path and busting these shadows are my hobby and job.

“H.I.P. people realize that every time they turn around they are blessed. Be H.I.P. turn your life around with gratitude.”

Once a year, American families get together to enjoy turkey, pumpkin pies, parades and American football. Through movies and TV shows, loads of people around the world are aware of Thanksgiving, roughly when it takes place and that it tends to involve Americans eating a lot of turkey and something call yams. But hopefully it is much more than that for those who are living H.I.P. lives. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to be reminded of the power of the practice of gratitude.

Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for what you already have and you will attract more good things. Remember this principle: whatever we focus on grows. Another way of saying this is, whatever we pay attention to grows or becomes a larger part of our experience. So if you focus on problems, you will find more problems. If you focus on successes, you find more successes. This is based on the assumption that we don’t just observe reality, but create it through our acts of observation. It is in this way that what we focus on grows, as we continue to notice more and more of it, expanding it into more of our reality.
