It is no longer good enough to cry peace, we must act peace, live peace and live in peace. – American Indian Proverb

Recently, I’ve been doing something on a regular basis that I never thought I would be doing – cooking. I have been using recipes and preparing meals for my wife and I that not along ago seemed complicated. I have been making different types of quiches, spaghetti, pasta etc. All these dishes involve different seasonings I am not familiar with, ingredients etc.

Breathe this in….”we are here for the evolution of our soul”…

One day I was sitting in my favorite neighborhood park taking in all the beauty around me and offering my appreciation for this moment of bliss when suddenly I heard a man’s voice loudly saying, come over here and let me listen to you. I opened my eyes to see what was happening – one homeless man greeting another.

Perhaps the most prominent thought on most individuals mind is finances. As a country we have been growing through “economic turmoil” for some time. This turmoil has escalated to other countries and as some would suggest this planet. It is by far the most talked about, thought about, fear-filled aspect of our self – our financial health/unfoldment. Our financial unfoldment addresses our ability to purchase / exchange with ease & grace, to meet and often exceed our needs and wants with the use of “money”.

“You are not free to choose the curriculum, or even the form in which you will learn it. You are free, however, to decide when you want to learn it” – ACIM

In the moments of clarity and remembrance of our true identity we tap into the awareness that there is really only ONE job and this job is to TEACH. We are all teachers!!

How deep is your desire to evolve? Is you intention to evolve more important to you than anything else in the world? The Universe is always speaking to us…we must simply slow down and listen. There is a song that I love very much from Rickie Byars Beckwith, a stanza from it says “I am ready to listen now, I’ve heard your voice before, your way has been calling me. Now I’m willing to be so much more.”

During my three year sabbatical I spent my time in doors between journaling, reading and television. In spite of the achievements and accolades the best gift I could have given myself was this time of reflection. In fact I could not have orchestrated that gift; it had to be a gift from the Divine. It was in those days that I wrestled like Jacob. I needed to know a few things: “How to love myself?”, “How to love others?” and certainly “How to be in this world and not of it?” These were just a few of the thoughts that kept me pondering at nights, coming to grips with the choices I had made and the path my life was unfolding in.

The next article I had to prepare for Adventure in Faith was Mental / Emotional Unfoldment. How fitting it was that Charles did the message on this particular week and everything worked on brilliantly. His message was on ACCOUNTABILITY….and it definitely hit on my topic….

This week we had the opportunity during meditation to look at our agreement with mediocrity. We defined this as the status quo or better yet the “good enough” state of being. Is is possible to suggest that good is the enemy of great?

Is it possible to ponder that perhaps the reason we don’t have great schools is because we have good schools? Or the reason we don’t have great government is because we have good government ?

Coaches…

If the hurtful event you attempt to release involved someone whose relationship you otherwise value then forgiveness can lead to reconciliation. However, this isn’t always the case. Reconciliation might be impossible if the offender has died or is unwilling to communicate with you. In some cases reconciliation might not be appropriate. Still forgiveness is possible — even if reconciliation isn’t.
